GOGO GLAM | Perth promenades for Style Aid

It’s the largest fashion fundraising event in Australia’s largest state – and seventeen years on, Style Aid has lost none of its luster.

THIS YEAR THE ETHICALLY CHIC EVENT – WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM LA BIOSTHETIQUE – ENDEAVORED TO SUPPORT THE WESTERN AUSTRALIAN AIDS COUNCIL, WITH BOTH DOMESTICALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY RENOWNED DESIGNERS GATHERING TOGETHER TO PROMENADE THEIR SS15/16 WARES DOWN THE RUNWAY.

As for this years theme? The 2015 fashion show looked to the past, unleashing their inner factory girls through the 60’s style Pop Art premise. Hair was directed by Sue Morgan from La Biosthetique salon, Be Ba Bo, who pumped up the volume and kept hair ‘do’s perfectly paired with the event’s sixties feel. Over 100 hairdressers gathered backstage to create the 60’s style beehives, cropped cuts and chic updo’s as seen on the catwalk – an impressive feat by any standards.

“It was so great to be a part of this event. From creating the look for the theme GOGO, to styling the photo-shoot and finally the show itself, it has been a wonderful experience,” says Sue of her experience with Style Aid.

With 750 guests gathering to soak up this all out celebration of couture with care-factor, funds raised from the 2015 Style Aid event will go directly towards helping those living and suffering with HIV/AIDS.
