Pivot Point Academy teamed up with Ivanhoe Grammar School to deliver a theatre performance of the classic John Updike novel, The Witches of Eastwick. Ivanhoe described their interpretation of the work as a “sassy rendition” of the story, full of “humour, sarcasm and wonderful music.” The student production team has spent the last few months perfecting their acting, singing and choreography in preparation for opening night.
Behind the scenes, Pivot Point students were there to make sure each character was looking their best. Student styling teams worked together to style hair and makeup for the cast, even helping some of the actors transform between multiple characters.
The production ran for four nights, and each night the audience of hundreds was delighted with the students’ presentation. Audience members described the work as “professional” and were impressed with “string musical performances.”
