GIVING BACK IS THE NEW BLACKThursday, 20th August 2015 •
THAT’S RIGHT, THIS SEASON (IF THE STYLISH BUNCH OVER AT PAUL MITCHELL ARE ANY INDICATION) IT’S ALL ABOUT SHOWING OFF YOUR GENEROSITY – BECAUSE AFTER ALL, IS THERE REALLY ANYTHING MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN GIVING SOMEONE LESS FORTUNATE REASON TO SMILE?
And the recently launched Paul Mitchell campaign is setting about doing just that. They’ve taken to social media to spread their #GIVINGISMYSTYLE message, that aims to encourage this spirit of humility throughout both the professional and consumer spheres.
So how does the initiative work? All they’re asking you to do is upload a photo to Instagram or Twitter demonstrating how or why you’ve made a difference to humanity, accompanied by the #GIVINGISMYSTYLE hashtag. Too easy, right? Each time this hashtag is used, Paul Mitchell will be donating $1 to one of the brands favoured non-profits on behalf of the user who uploaded the snap!
Three Six Five Managing Director, John Pizzey, is thrilled at the traction the initiative has already received, and cannot wait to see what the campaign will bring. “Philanthropic support is an ongoing goal for the global Paul Mitchell brand, a commitment to caring for people and the planet is a driving force in everything the Paul Mitchell brand does,” he says of the campaign.
“Paul Mitchell were the first professional hair care company to stand up against animal testing and our charitable efforts continue to set the standard for giving in our industry.”
“Through the #GIVINGISMYSTYLE campaign, Paul Mitchell is successfully leveraging social media as the communication vehicle for raising awareness for the social responsibility we each have to help and support our fellow people by any means available to us.”
“Every post counts and participation so far has raised $6,231 however Paul Mitchell believe as an industry we can come together and raise much more than this and make a substantial impact to areas in need” finishes John.
