Chop it off for charity!

In a very special collaboration, Sustainable Salons Australia partnered with the students of Wenona Girls High to assist in the creation of wigs for children who have lost their hair at the hands of illness…. by donating their ponytails to the cause!

THIRTY FOUR VERY BRAVE YOUNG STUDENTS FROM WENONA GIRLS HIGH BRAVED THE CHOP IN THE NAME OF A GOOD CAUSE, WITH SUSTAINABLE SALONS AUSTRALIA COLLECTING 139 PONYTAILS – ALL OF WHICH WILL BE DONATED TO THE VARIETY CHARITY IN ORDER TO CRAFT WIGS OR CHILDREN WHO HAVE SUFFERED HAIR LOSS DUE TO ALOPECIA, CANCER AND OTHER DISEASE.

Wielding the scissors for the event – and crafting some cute cropped cuts for the good Samaritans involved – were eight teachers from Tafe Sydney. Check out the video below, and make sure you CLICK HERE to keep up to date with the goings on of this very worthwhile cause!
